Kos Town
The lively capital is perfect for a day trip and is easy to reach thanks to the excellent bus network. Numerous stores, boutiques and jewelry and leather merchants line the bougainvillea-lined promenade. Quaint tavernas are hidden away from the hustle and bustle in the narrow side streets. From the "Kastro Neratzia" fortress, you have a wonderful view of the harbor bay, from where numerous boat tours to the small neighboring islands depart. Ferry connections to Bodrum are also offered from here.

One highlight is Paradise Beach in the south of the island, where the water is crystal clear and the sand is soft. Small bubbles appear again and again in the water, caused by volcanic gases, which is why it is also known as "Bubble Beach".
