Ryanair to fly to three European destinations from Saarbrücken in future

The airline Ryanair has added two vacation destinations in Italy and one in Spain to its range of flights from Saarbrücken for next summer. The flights can be booked from tomorrow.
In the summer flight schedule (March - October 2026), Ryanair will fly to the following three destinations - each twice a week - from Saarbrücken Airport:
- Trapani on the Italian vacation island of Sicily,
- Lamezia Terme in the south-western Italian region of Calabria and
- Alicante on Spain's popular Costa Blanca.
The flight offer will be launched in time for the start of the Saarland Easter vacations. Flights can be booked from tomorrow via the airline's website at www.ryanair.de.
Thomas Schuck, Managing Director of Saarbrücken Airport: "I am delighted that with Ryanair we have been able to convince another international airline of the strengths of the airport and the region. With the new destinations, the range of flights available to our passengers will increase significantly in terms of quality and quantity. I assume that our passengers will take up this offer very well and that many will use the opportunity to get to know the new vacation regions."
Marcel Pouchain Meyer, Ryanair's Head of Marketing & Communication for Germany, Austria and Switzerland: "We are very pleased to announce the launch of our flights to Saarbrücken. Our growth at regional airports with competitive costs such as Saarbrücken allows us to avoid the enormously high access costs of the major German airports. This allows us to keep ticket prices low and offer our passengers more choice. The new routes to Alicante, Lamezia Terme and Trapani, each with two weekly flights, are ideal for summer vacations - be it for a beach vacation in Spain or to discover the authentic Italian culture in Calabria and Sicily. We look forward to welcoming many passengers on board in the coming summer season."
Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke: "This is great news for Saarbrücken Airport and for vacationers from the entire region. The new routes will further strengthen the airport's capacity utilization as an important economic factor in our state. I invite the people of Saarland to make active use of the new offer in the coming year."
Transport Minister Petra Berg: "The launch of Ryanair connections at Saarbrücken Airport significantly increases its attractiveness for summer operations and especially for a young target audience. The three vacation destinations, which previously meant a longer journey to Frankfurt or other airports, can now also be reached conveniently and via shorter routes in Saarbrücken."
