Ryanair will fly to three European destinations from Saarbrücken in the future

For next summer, Ryanair has added two holiday destinations in Italy and one in Spain to its flight schedule from Saarbrücken. The flights can be booked starting tomorrow.
In its summer schedule (March–October 2026), Ryanair will fly to the following three destinations twice a week from Saarbrücken Airport:
- Trapani onthe Italian vacation island of Sicily,
- Lamezia Termein the southwestern Italian region of Calabria and
- Alicante onSpain's popular Costa Blanca.
The flights will commence in time for the start of the Easter holidays in Saarland. Tickets can be booked from tomorrow via the airline's website at www.ryanair.de.
Thomas Schuck, Managing Director of Saarbrücken Airport: "I am delighted that we have been able to convince another international airline, Ryanair, of the strengths of the airport and the region. The new destinations significantly expand the range of flights available to our passengers in terms of both quality and quantity. I expect that our passengers will respond very positively to this offer and that many will take the opportunity to get to know the new holiday regions."
Marcel Pouchain Meyer, Head of Marketing & Communication at Ryanair for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland: "We are delighted to announce the launch of our flights to Saarbrücken. By growing our presence at regional airports with competitive costs, such as Saarbrücken, we can avoid the extremely high access costs of the major German airports. This enables us to keep ticket prices low and offer our passengers more choice. The new routes to Alicante, Lamezia Terme, and Trapani, each with two weekly flights, are ideal for summer vacations—whether for a beach holiday in Spain or to discover authentic Italian culture in Calabria and Sicily. We look forward to welcoming many passengers on board in the coming summer season."
Minister of Economic Affairs Jürgen Barke: "This is great news for Saarbrücken Airport and for holidaymakers from across the region. The new routes will further strengthen the airport's capacity utilization as an important economic factor in our state. I invite the people of Saarland to make active use of the new services in the coming year."
Transport Minister Petra Berg: "The addition of Ryanair flights at Saarbrücken Airport significantly increases the appeal of summer travel, especially for a young target audience. The three holiday destinations, which previously required a longer journey to Frankfurt or other airports, can now be reached conveniently and via shorter routes in Saarbrücken."
