Ryanair baggage policy
The prices include a small piece of personal baggage that can be taken on board and must fit under the seat in front of you, such as a handbag or laptop bag (40 x 30 x 20 cm). If you require additional baggage allowance, there are various options available to you.
1: Hand luggage:
- Priority and 2 pieces of hand baggage: This allows you to take one small piece of personal baggage (40 x 30 x 20 cm), which must fit under the seat in front of you, and one 10 kg piece of baggage (55 x 40 x 20 cm) on board, which must be stored in the overhead locker. You can also board via the priority boarding queue at the gate.
2: Checked baggage:

3: Luggage for small children
- We know that traveling with an infant can be stressful. That's why you can take two baby items per child free of charge to make your journey as smooth as possible. No free baggage allowance is allowed for an infant (aged 8 days up to and including 23 months). However, for babies traveling on an adult's lap, a baby bag up to 5 kg (dimensions: 45 x 35 x 20 cm) is permitted.
How can I add luggage/equipment to an existing booking?
- Click on "My bookings" on the Ryanair website or on "My flights" in the mobile app.
- Log in to your myRyanair account.
- Click on "Manage this booking" for the booking you wish to change.
- Select the option "Add luggage/equipment".
- Add pieces of luggage/equipment.
- Proceed with the payment.
- Enter your payment details and click on "Pay now". You will receive an email with the updated itinerary, which includes the luggage/equipment.
- Once the change has been confirmed, you will be redirected back to the page with your upcoming trip.
